The Beyond Gallery in Lafayette has partnered with the Poetry Society of Indiana for a second time to bring you Symbiosis: Poets & Visual Artists in Collaboration. Twelve select poets have been partnered with twelve visual artists to exchange a piece of already existing work which will then become a point of inspiration for a completely new piece. At the exhibition, each poem and artwork will be displayed together. As a visual artist who has long drawn my inspiration from written language - either story or song lyric - this opportunity was incredibly appealing to me, and I am so grateful to have been chosen to participate!
